Winter View: From Modern to Modern
The exhibition Winter View — From Modern to Modern is presented as a “collector’s apartment”—the living space of someone who lives with art, loves it, and understands its significance within a broader cultural context.
This is not a showcase of globalized taste, but a personal selection spanning time, movements, and continents. Historical modernism coexists here naturally with its successors and contemporary artists who actively build upon its legacy.
The works on display come from both the primary and secondary markets and are united by an emphasis on material, authenticity, and personal expression. Painting, drawing, pigment, metal, paper, and plastic—the media remain physical, not virtual. Art is understood here as both a medium and the result of human experience. The selected artists create through matter, not through algorithms.
In this conception, “The Collector’s Apartment” is not only a physical space but also a conceptual figure: a conscious act of selection, redistribution of values, and preservation of meanings. Collecting is not accumulation but care. Exploring the world through art is not a passive process but a form of its constant reshaping.
